Authorities say the then-14-year-old, radicalized online by ISIS, helped an Austrian plotter arrested in Vienna in August 2024—translating bomb instructions, providing an ISIS loyalty text and contacting an ISIS member. 🇩🇪 Attack in Neukölln: Men hit with bottle and baseball bat
On Monday around 3:30 p.m. on Hermannstraße in Berlin-Neukölln, a 19-year-old was assaulted and robbed by about six men who beat him with a glass bottle, a baseball bat and a metal bar after one stole his phone. A 42-year-old passerby who intervened suffered rib fractures and internal injuries and was hospitalized; the 19-year-old had head and leg wounds but refused treatment. Sirens scattered the attackers, who abandoned the phone; police arrested two men (32, 34) and released them after ID checks, while others remain at large; investigators cite robbery and dangerous bodily harm. Police arrested a 50-year-old alleged member of a Berlin drug mafia after a Monday raid that seized data drives, a crypto phone, four-figure cash and a luxury watch—but no drugs. Decoded EncroChat messages show he traded about 22 kg of cocaine and 500 kg of marijuana between March–July 2020 (the weed’s street value ~€5m).
